We have had some household changes in the neighborhood. Welcome to the new neighbors!
We also have had a renewed interest in a possible neighborhood event. Some suggestions were to have a community event in the spring and also one on
Halloween. Anyone interested in planning or supporting these or other events PLEASE contact the board using the form on the website. Remember that
the community is only as active as the members who support it.
We are also asking anyone to contribute to the website. If you have any articles, favorite recipes or tips you can either use the form on the website or
send a separate letter to the management company. We will try to update this page with any new articles, hints, etc. as they are received.
Pruning Knockout Roses
Pruning Knockout roses, nothing could be easier. This rose is a
very low maintenance rose, that would propably do Ok with no
pruning one season.
You should always remove dead or damaged wood any time of
the year.
Knockout roses are repeat-flowering shrub roses and should be
pruned during the dormant season in late winter or early spring.
Start by giving the Knockout an overall trimming and grooming
to give it a pleasing and attractive shape. When doing Knockout
rose bush pruning, it's good to cut down the plant by 1/3, to
ensure optimum flower production.
